Ernst Travel Agency (“we,” “us”) runs ernst.llc. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect when you visit, what we do with it, and what we don’t do with it.
The short version
We use Google Analytics to count visitors and see which pages people find useful. It’s anonymous — we don’t know your name from your visit. If you fill out a form or sign up for our emails, we use what you give us to help plan your travel or send you the emails you asked for. We never sell your information. Period.
What we collect automatically
Like most websites, we use cookies — small text files your browser stores — to help us understand how the site is used. Specifically, we use Google Analytics, which tells us things like:
- How many people visited and which pages they looked at
- Whether visitors arrived from a search engine, social media, or a link
- What general area visitors are in (city/state level — not your address)
- Whether someone is a new or returning visitor
None of this identifies you personally. We see patterns, not people. Google’s own privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy.
What you give us directly
If you fill out our travel intake form or sign up for our email list, we receive what you typed — typically your name, email, and travel details. We use it to:
- Plan and book the travel you asked about
- Send the emails you signed up for
That’s it. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link that works.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for advertising.
- We don’t collect payment information through this website.
- We don’t send your information to anyone except as needed to actually book your travel (for example, a cruise line needs the names of the people traveling).
Your choices
- Cookies: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works fine either way.
- Global Privacy Control: We never sell or share your information for advertising, so there is nothing a GPC opt-out signal would need to stop. You can always block analytics cookies using your browser settings or the opt-out add-on above.
- Your information: Want to know what we have, or want it deleted? Email us and we’ll take care of it.

Changes

Our Facebook page
Posts on our Facebook page are published by our own publishing tool (“ETA Automation”). It sends our blog posts and port guides to our own page. It does not collect, store, or process any personal data about Facebook users.
Data deletion
Want your information removed? Email steve.ernst@ernst.llc and tell us what to delete: contact messages, newsletter subscription, or trip records. We will confirm when it is done.
