Royal Caribbean announced they’re adding a fourth Oasis-class ship to their Caribbean lineup for 2025. Wonder of the Seas will join her sisters sailing year-round from Florida ports starting next spring.
This matters because it means more availability on the most popular ship class to the most popular destination. Good news if you’ve been shut out of Oasis bookings. Less good news for your wallet since demand still outstrips supply.
Norwegian Cruise Line quietly updated their beverage package policies last week. The unlimited beverage package now requires all guests 21 and over in the same stateroom to purchase it. No more splitting one package between two people.
Cruise lines have been tightening these loopholes for years. If you were planning to game the system, that ship has sailed. Literally.
Several Caribbean ports announced new terminal fees starting in January 2025. Cozumel and Barbados lead the charge with increases ranging from $5 to $15 per passenger. The fees go toward port infrastructure improvements.
Your cruise fare won’t change, but expect these costs to get passed along somewhere. Cruise lines don’t eat fees. They serve them to you with a side of “market conditions.”
If you want help sorting through what these changes mean for your next cruise, that is literally what we do.
